๐ Create server on Sparked HostHow to Use the Spawn Simulator
Choose the mob you want to check and adjust the environmental conditions: dimension, height (Y), game time, block light level, surface type, and biome. The "Spawn Result" shows if the mob can spawn under those exact conditions, with a detailed checklist for each requirement.
Use this to find out why your mob farm isn't working โ usually it's a forgotten torch raising the light level or a height outside the mob's spawning range.
Do all mobs follow the same rules?
No. Nether mobs like the Blaze, Ghast, Zombified Piglin, and Magma Cube are not affected by light levels or time of day. Aquatic mobs like the Drowned and Guardian require water instead of a solid floor. And the Bat only spawns below Y=63, in caves.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why isn't my zombie spawning even at night?
Check the block light level where it should spawn. Most hostile mobs require a block light level of 0 (total darkness), even at night โ any nearby torch or light source prevents spawning.
Can zombies spawn in any biome?
Yes, in most common Overworld biomes, provided that all other conditions (light, solid surface, height) are met.
Why do Blazes only spawn in Nether Fortresses?
Blazes do not use natural biome spawning like most mobs โ they only spawn via specific spawners found inside Nether Fortresses.
